‘That’s confidence’: Viewers divided after woman brings tub of ranch on first date

First dates. We all have to go through them if we’re on the hunt for love or even just casually dating. What would you do if someone ordered a tub of ranch on a first date? Marry them, several commenters say.

Each person takes a different approach to a first date. Some put forward what they believe is their best self, trying to be extra polite and interesting, while others go the authenticity route, doing their best to show their true self upfront (even if it’s a bit off-putting to some).

This girl seems to have chosen the latter, surprising her date with the amount of ranch dressing she ordered.

In the viral TikTok, which has more than 700,000 views, JH (@jacksonhuff2233) is seen filming himself while on a date at a restaurant.

He secretly turns the camera around and pans up to show his date. “On a first date and this girl gets a tub full of ranch,” JH said.

Viewers see a young woman sitting across from him with what we would describe as a small cup, not a tub, of ranch for her fried chicken.

When JH turns the video back to himself, he just stares at the camera with a surprised look. “This girl loves her ranch,” the caption read.

JH has yet to post any follow-up video, so it’s unclear whether he was into his date or if her was put off by her love of the classic American dipping sauce.

One thing is for sure though, based on the comments, the ranch-loving girl will find someone that special someone who is charmed by her ranch habits.

“and that’s how you know you’re going to marry her,” the top comment read.

“That’s confidence. If you can’t handle her at her tub of ranch you don’t get her period,” a person said.

“Uummmm sir she is a keeper!” another chimed in.

Lowkey, it seems lucky that she was able to get that much ranch since there’s seemingly been a bit of a shortage. Several people have posted online about making their own version of the dipping sauce at home. Others have exposed how restaurants, like Wingstop, make their signature version.
