Everyone is roasting Julian Casablancas for this ‘normal’ tweet

The Strokes were never exactly known for their innovative lyrics, but once in a blue moon frontman Julian Casablancas likes to toss out some deep thoughts on Twitter.

In 2014 he shared his opinions on brunch in a lengthy Twitter thread, and though he's kept pretty lowkey the past few years, this week he's been going off on brand names and throw-up scenes in movies after giving an interview with Vulture where he talked politics and authenticity in art. Fans have been excited to get some non-promotional content from the singer, but one tweet in particular has sparked a lot of conversation.

What percentage of people, Casablancas wonders, are "normal"?

It's the same question posed by many a high school essay about The Catcher in the Rye, and Casablancas' fans couldn't help but reply by making fun of him. A lot of people offered some important charts and statistics:

While others were reminded of a certain Jughead speech from Riverdale:

Who knows, maybe Casablancas will publish the findings of this social research.
