Learning how to tie a tie properly might just be the hardest fashion struggle for men—next to tying a bowtie, of course. There are too many steps to remember, too many variations on knot type. Often, you need to be able to do it without looking at a mirror.

The solution? Give up. Unbutton your collar and wear a blazer over it. Looks great.

But if you can't, if you're forced to wear a tie to work, YouTuber CrazyRussianHacker has you covered. He’s created a tie hack that lets you tie it perfectly before you even get it on your body. Watch and learn from this tie-tying ninja.

First, lay the tie out flat on the table.

Start with the fat side by your right hand and the skinny side on your right.

Then fold each end to make two opposite-facing loops.

Twist the left loop and pull it through the opening in the right loop.

Pull the shorter end through the top of the loop.

Then pull the top of the shorter end to tighten the knot.
