A video showing a woman changing her baby's diaper at a table inside a crowded restaurant has sparked debate online. The video, which was posted on X, is not the original, and is instead another user who has used a screenshot of the video to make their own.
The post's caption reads, “Changing you kids poop filled diaper at the table while people are eating with you is crazy work.” A second caption below the image reads, “They made bathrooms for a reason, you don't poop where you eat.”
The user who shared the video also recounted his own experience changing diapers in public.
"I've been in situations like that," he says. "And you know what I did? If I couldn't use the bathroom [or go to] the bathroom changer I would go right out to my car right in the backseat. I was a master at changing diapers to just flex on everybody. I was basically like Mr. Mom. I could change a diaper like that. It was never an issue for me...I never did it eating at a restaurant."

Viewers Debate Whether Changing a Diaper at the Table Is Appropriate
"S*** happens. You can't control when. Yes, it's nice if you can get up and do it in the restroom. But how do you know what the situation was? She could have been covered with s*** and standing up would have been a problem," said one commenter, arguing that the circumstances were unclear.
"If there isn't a diaper changing station , which by the way that is a new feature since I had kids , you can take them to your car and use the backseat as a charging station or you can carry a station changing pad and lay it on the bathroom floor. Never change your baby while people are eating," wrote another X commenter, who talked about using the backseat of your car, similar to the approach described by the man who shared the post.
The discussion centered in part on whether a restaurant table is an appropriate place for a diaper change.
"I understand it is needed but it’s pretty inconsiderate to not do it in a bathroom," said another X user, with several others making similar comments.
Some commenters also raised concerns about hygiene when changing a diaper at a restaurant table. The video does not establish whether the woman had access to another place to change the diaper.
The Daily Dot was unable to independently verify the circumstances surrounding the video or determine why the diaper was changed at the restaurant table.
