Blind Side actor Quinton Aaron has broken his silence about his ‘already married’ wife, Margarita DeLeon. The actor expressed shock after learning that DeLeon had been legally married to another man the whole time they were together.

This was around the same time he had suffered a life-threatening stroke at an Atlanta hospital as a result of a severe blood infection.

In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, he recalled learning the truth, which meant his wife couldn’t legally make medical decisions for him.

When doctors were attempting to get consent from DeLeon for medical procedures, he was placed on life support. They learned that she was actually legally married to another man for 10 years. However, she’s been with Aaron since 2024.

Aaron was still in his hospital bed when he noticed doctors began “removing her” from his presence. That’s when the realization about the circumstances began to set in for him. Speaking to a GMA host, Aaron shared his perspective.

He revealed, “The entire time we were together, she told me she had been divorced for 10 plus years…” Well, in reality, she’s been legally married to another individual for the same time.

The ‘Biggest Mistake’ Made by The Blind Side Actor Made Before Marrying His ‘Already Married’ Wife

Aaron had mentioned that his wife claimed to have legal documentation about her divorce decree from her previous marriage. This was when they were considering getting married and had begun legal proceedings.

When the GMA host pointed out that he’d never considered checking whether his wife’s claims were true, the actor revealed a heartbreaking truth. He said, “That’s my biggest mistake…You know?”

Despite the truth bomb about his wife, Aaron revealed that he “still loved her” very much. And even reflected on their time together as a romantic couple. He claimed, “A lot of it was blissful ignorance, a lot of stuff I didn’t want to know…”

When Aaron had confronted DeLeon about it, she justified not telling him about it by chalking it up to a “simple mistake.” This was because she apparently failed to realize that her divorce from the other man was never finalized.

It wasn’t just Aaron who spoke to GMA in the aftermath of such a revelation. She, too, spoke out amid the controversy.

DeLeon revealed that until his family had allegedly pulled up the information on him, she was completely unaware of the truth.

When Aaron was asked about what he would’ve done differently to avoid the current outcome: a devastating breakup from DeLeon. He said, “I would’ve done my due diligence. I would’ve definitely done more research.”

The actor is currently focused on complete recovery as a result of diabetes, which led to multiple medical complications. He’s also actively undergoing regular physical therapy to help him regain full control of his limbs. As for their relationship, details remain under wraps for the moment.

Who Was Quinton Aaron's Wife Already Married To?

According to a marriage certificate obtained by the actor’s lawyer when the actor was sick, DeLeon was married to an individual named Eric Alex Guzman. DeLeon and Guzman got married on June 13, 1992.

They got married in Erie County, Pennsylvania, and were officiated by a minister called Pons Juan Alberto. Details about DeLeon’s falling out with Guzman also remain undisclosed.

Similarly, whether or not she’s now going to legally divorce him remains unconfirmed.
