A woman says a dispute with her neighbor escalated when police showed up at her front door at 10 a.m. on a Monday and asked her to take a breath test. TikToker @maryannelaine93 says the visit came after someone reported seeing her driving drunk.
She believes the complaint came from a neighbor with whom she had previously had several disputes. Here’s what she says happened before police showed up at her door.

Woman Says Neighbor Reported Her for Drunk Driving After Dispute
TikToker @maryannelaine93 says she received several warnings about a particular neighbor after she began renting the home. Despite the warnings, she says she had not experienced any problems with the woman and rarely interacted with her.
There was one incident when she left her garbage bin slightly in front of the woman’s home. However, she says it wasn’t obstructing her path. But the neighbor moved the bin into the TikToker’s driveway, preventing her from pulling in when she returned home.
In a TikTok, she detailed an encounter with the neighbor that she says gave her a better understanding of why others had warned her about the woman. She says the woman has a camera pointed from her home toward the TikToker’s kitchen window and has also complained to the owner of the rental property.
She says the neighbor contacted the owner to complain that her dogs were making too much noise. The neighbor also allegedly claimed that the TikToker’s children had thrown things at her, an allegation the TikToker denies.
Afterward, the owner attempted to bring the two women together to discuss their disputes, and the TikToker says the neighbor became angry. She claims the neighbor ran at her dog with a shovel. Although police were called, the TikToker says no further action was taken.
A few days later, the TikToker says a police officer came to her door after receiving a complaint from someone who claimed to have seen her driving drunk. The TikToker says she did drive her children to school that day but had been sober for more than a year and denies driving drunk. She says the officer described the complaint as “weird,” leading her to suspect that her neighbor may have made the report. The officer then administered a breath test, which the TikToker says she passed.
At the end of the clip, she said she was frustrated that pursuing the dispute in court would require her to pay. She questioned why she would have to pay to seek help with what she describes as harassment from her neighbor.
The Daily Dot was unable to independently verify the claims made by @maryannelaine93, which are based on her account of the dispute and police visit shared on TikTok.
