A TikTok creator, @cassiesaylor, has sparked interest with a video asking viewers if they want to hear some small-town gossip. The story involves a married couple, an alleged affair, and a betrayal that reportedly came to light just three weeks after the wife gave birth to their first child. At the time of publication, the video had garnered 9.6 million views and 4,714 comments.
Cassie begins by describing the couple as high school sweethearts who married shortly after graduating.
“So there's this couple, high school sweethearts, if you will. Been together since high school. They get married right out of high school, like, six months out of high school. From the outside looking in, picture perfect,” she says.
According to Cassie, the husband has a good job, and his wife is attractive and successful in her own right. However, the wife begins to suspect that something is wrong, even though she cannot quite identify what is bothering her. Around the same time, she discovers that she is pregnant with their first child.
The uneasiness takes a back seat during her pregnancy, and she does not revisit her suspicions until after the baby arrives.
“Three weeks after the baby is born, she's up feeding the baby at like, 2, 3 in the morning, right? And his phone is lighting up,” Cassie continues.
Wondering who is messaging her husband in the middle of the night, the wife picks up his phone while he is asleep and looks through it. According to Cassie’s account, she discovers that her husband has been having an affair since before she knew she was pregnant.
When she wakes him up and confronts him, he allegedly tries to convince her that she is imagining things because she is exhausted.
“So she wakes him up and he grabs the phone and says, you're dreaming. You're hallucinating because you're so tired. There's nothing on my phone,” Cassie recounts.
The husband then turns the phone around to show her that there is nothing there. But, according to Cassie, he has already deleted the messages.
“The audacity. Turns the phone around and says, I don't see anything. So she grabs the phone back, and he had deleted everything,” Cassie says.
The wife, however, is not convinced. She insists that she knows what she saw. When confronted again, her husband allegedly breaks down in tears, claiming that he was confused and promising that it will never happen again.
But the identity of the other woman makes the story even more complicated.
“The girl that it was, was her first cousin's ex girlfriend, who had come to the baby shower, had come to see the baby after it was born, had, you know, come to the house and, like, hung out with the baby and everything,” Cassie says.
According to the story, the woman was not a stranger to the family. She had attended the baby shower, visited the newborn and spent time at the couple’s home.

If there is one thing some internet users enjoy, it is hearing about drama that does not involve them. The comments on Cassie’s video suggest that viewers were more than happy to listen, with some saying they preferred this kind of gossip to celebrity news and other popular TikTok content.
“'do you wanna hear-' yes, yes i do,” one user commented.
“I don't look for drama it finds me even on an international scale,” another viewer wrote.
Others said they would choose this kind of storytelling over other popular TikTok formats.
“I'd choose this over makeup + true crime EVERY DAY,” one user said.
