Froggy Fresh has a shockingly good YouTube dedicated to piano ballads

Froggy Fresh, the artist formerly known as Krispy Kreme, launched a new YouTube channel dedicated to serious music. It's pretty damn good.

Launched under his real name Tyler Cassidy in January 2018, the channel features original songs and a solid cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity." On Tuesday, an original called "Junkie" blew up on Reddit's r/videos forum. In internet terms, Cassidy's arrived.

Froggy Fresh hit viral paydirt back in 2012 for his hilarious song, "The Baddest," and the follow-up, "Dunked On" has over 19 million views to date.

Cassidy was allegedly forced to change his original rap name after the Krispy Kreme people got wind of his rap moniker. Cassidy explained in a YouTube video from 2012 that his father received a call from the pastry conglomerate explaining that the name was trademark infringement and using any variation of the words “Krispy” or “Kreme” could result in legal action.

Froggy Fresh mulled over several different names, including Candy Cane, Jelly Bean Jack, and Lil Kuntry. Now he's going with his birth name, and after years on the internet, it's suiting him just fine. Listen to his sweeping piano balladry below:
