If you're a diehard fan of The Simpsons, you know that lying in a stupor on your Doritos-dusted couch while watching classic episodes you've seen a thousand times is as almost as good as being back in your mother's womb. It's warm, familiar, drowsy, and safe.

Well, Simpsonwave takes that hazy '90s nostalgia and turns it up with some fluid editing, retro neon filters, VHS-style distortion, and ticklish grooves from chillwave and vaporwave producers. The result is a dreamscape of half-recalled references and emotional drift.

What else do you need to know? Pretty much nothing. Just dive in and see a cartoon you thought you knew melted down and reconstructed before your very eyes. We always knew The Simpsons was the greatest TV show of all time, but in its countless multitudes, it keeps on surprising us.
