Amazon drivers and third-party delivery workers have faced scrutiny over how some handle packages. According to various viral videos, some drivers have been seen tossing packages or even hurling them toward recipients’ doors, allegedly causing dented boxes and damaged contents inside.

Another clip going viral online appears to show a similar incident. The video, reshared by @omoelerinjare1, claims a woman received a broken iPhone and that it may have been caused by how the delivery driver handled the package.

Woman’s Security Camera Allegedly Catches Driver Throwing Package

In the clip, a woman can be seen pulling up to a home in what looks like it could be a Kia Soul. Apparently, she was captured on the homeowner’s security camera. She doesn’t pull into the driveway or even open her door, but instead, she opens her window and then tosses one package out and onto the concrete driveway.

She grabs another package and hurls that one too. She completes the delivery by sticking her phone out of the window, snapping a photo for proof of delivery and then driving away. While the video is blurry, she does appear to be wearing a blue delivery driver vest.

According to the X user, one of those packages had a new iPhone inside, but when the woman opened it, she found that it was broken. She then reportedly went back and checked her security footage, where she allegedly saw what may have caused the damage.

While it’s not clear who the woman worked for or if the iPhone was actually broken, one commenter did point out that they thought “iPhones usually require a signature.” Despite the lack of information, there have been numerous cases of Amazon drivers and delivery drivers in general throwing packages toward a home, driveway, or doorstep rather than properly handling them with care and gently placing them by a person’s door.

Fox News detailed one of those instances where a delivery driver was caught on a Ring doorbell camera throwing a package onto the homeowner’s concrete porch, taking a picture and then walking away. The news outlet said the box landed “with a loud thud,” and photos were later shared by the outlet showing the box was dented.

While it’s not clear whether the contents were damaged, the person waiting for the package was reportedly shocked by the way it was handled. Similar videos have also prompted reactions from viewers online.

The Daily Dot was unable to independently verify whether the iPhone was damaged or whether the delivery driver’s handling of the package caused the damage. The claims are based on the X user's account and the footage shared online.
