No one ever said parenting was easy. To turn a tiny baby into a functional member of today’s society takes a lot of work. Between the feeding, the clothing, the loving, and the educating, you just cross your fingers for 18 years and hope that by the time it’s all said and done, they have a sense of right and wrong. But in the age of social media, even that isn’t enough.
Thanks to the Internet and mothers like Jennifer Rouch, it’s never been easier to feel more self-conscious about the horrible job you’re doing raising your kids. Rouch isn’t just going through the motions with her daughter, Lane. She’s turning her childhood into a Disney fantasy.

But the Florida mother’s astounding costuming skills aren’t just for show. It’s a project the seasoned seamstress undertook to help her three-year-old daughter overcome her shyness. The family originally bought annual passes to Disney World in hopes that Lane could enjoy the park while being around other children. "We wanted her to not be crippled by shyness, so we took her to a place where a kid could feel happy and safe to dream and play and be themselves or anyone they want to be,” Rouch told the Huffington Post.

Thanks to her mother’s sewing skills, Lane can truly be anyone she wants. What begins as a piece of clothing from a thrift shop quickly gets the Cinderella treatment as Rouch transforms it into a pint-sized custom Disney costume for her daughter to wear during their park visits.

Thanks to an Instagram account and a Tumblr titled My Disney Daze, admirers can keep up with Lane’s latest costume or princess dress.
