Imgurians have lately loved turning one man's grim fate into a premise for all kinds of jokes. The formula stems from this two-panel comic of a man obviously in need of some help—he's floating in the sea—being spotted by a rescue helicopter, only for the pilot to fly away.

Generally, the idea is that the guy in the water says something that the pilot doesn't exactly love. Whether it's because he makes a mom joke or supports Trump, the swimmer's doom is sealed.
