Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale’s relationship is on display this awards season—the bearded dragon story is only the start

Rose Byrne won her first Golden Globe for her performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You this year. The star's acceptance speech involved her husband, Bobby Cannavale, and a bearded dragon. Naturally, it went viral.

“I want to thank my husband, Bobby, who couldn’t be here because we’re getting a bearded dragon and he went to a reptile expo in New Jersey," Byrne added at the end of the speech.

Fans loved the moment, and Byrne recently gave an update on her new pet while talking to Extra.

“It’s going well,” she shared. “We’ve got the guy. He’s really cute, and he’s in the house, and it’s going well.”

“I don’t know yet,” Byrne said when asked the bearded dragon's name. “I’ll let you know!” She also called her new pet "adorable," and praised Cannavale for skipping the Globes.

“Bobby is doing God’s work!” she said. “This is easy!”
