Happy Jewish New Year!

YouTubers, never the square bunch, are celebrating this Rosh Hashanah by watching songs and music videos related to the holiday.

As noted by the official YouTube trends blog, among the most shared videos today are some that celebrate the Jewish New Year.  Older Rosh Hashana music videos are also getting some holiday love.

The most popular Rosh Hashanah video features a troupe of breakdancing young men. Israeli content site Aish, which created a viral video related to Passover a couple months ago, is back with another musical hit. This time, it is a parody of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” complete with dance moves one YouTuber deemed “fabulous.”

The video opens with a nay-saying young man rocking a Jewfro: “Look, I’m all for New Years parties, but a Jewish New Year? It’s just going to be a bunch of guys praying, right?”

As taxidermist Chuck Testa might say, NOPE.

The most-viewed video in Israel today is a popular parody by  The Ein Prat Fountainheads. The video even includes references to the classic video game Pac Man and to Angry Birds, the mobile game.
