With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) Jack Douglass, “The Mini iPad Mini (Parody)”
Imagine an iPad that does everything the old one does but fits in one hand. You can’t make calls, but in this new parody commercial for the iPad Mini from Jack Douglass, he argues that you should have it even if Apple comes out with three more iPads next year. Besides, as Douglass notes, you can probably afford it.
2) Rich Ferguson, “Craziest Halloween Scare/Prank Trick Ever! Head Drop Illusion”
Magician Rich Ferguson took a classic magic trick to the streets of San Luis Obispo, Calif. as unsuspecting passersby watch Ferguson literally lose his head after sneezing. They reacted with a mixture of laughter, disgust and fright.
3) Ali S, “Kyle Goes to the World Series”
According to his friends, Kyle, a UC Davis student juggling a full course load and working more than 35 hours a week, is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. His co-workers came together and gave the diehard San Francisco Giants fan the gift of a lifetime: tickets to see Game 2 of the World Series. Kyle’s reaction is priceless.
4) Indiana Pacers, “Pacers Roy Hibbert Goes Gangnam Style”
What started out as a flash mob during a “Meet The Rookies” event Indianapolis became an all-star affair when Pacers center Roy Hibbert joined the party in sunglasses and white tuxedo and danced along to “Gangnam Style” with the crowd.
5) popspot, “Halloween Special: Epic Pumpkin Smackdown in slow motion”
One of the many highlights of Halloween is the annual Pumpkin Chunkin contest, but before they take the stage on Nov. 2, this compilation of pumpkins falling to the ground in slow motion is almost as satisfying.
