YouTuber William Osman offered fans a look at the devastation caused by the massive Ventura County, California, fire, and it hit home for him.
On Wednesday, Osman, who usually posts DIY tutorials involving lasers and toast-buttering robots, went through the rubble that was once his home, cataloging discarded La Croix and yearbooks, as well as tools and equipment used in his videos. While the video starts out somewhat light, Osman quickly gets emotional surveying the devastation.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Osman and his wife with relief.
As of Tuesday, the Thomas Fire had spread to 55,000 acres. More than 27,000 people had to evacuate their homes. A state of emergency was declared by Gov. Jerry Brown.
