It’s never been easier to watch the Ryder Cup online, and this year you can do so for free from the comfort of your couch or anywhere else you get an internet connection.
One of sports’ greatest traditions, the Ryder Cup takes place every other year, pitting the best golfers in America versus their European contemporaries. This year’s contest takes place at Le Golf National outside Paris, Friday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Sept. 30. The storylines are particularly rich this go around. All eyes will be on Tiger Woods, who’s playing in his first Ryder Cup since 2012 and coming off his first major tournament victory in nearly as long, as Team USA looks to bring home the cup for the first time on European soil since 1993.
Here’s everything you need to know to watch the 2018 Ryder Cup online for free and via live TV streaming services.
How to watch the Ryder Cup for free
Before we get started, here’s a full breakdown of the participants. The player pairings for Friday’s morning session will be revealed on Sept. 27.

1) RyderCup.com
It doesn’t get any easier than this: A free Ryder Cup live stream is available to anyone with an internet connection from RyderCup.com. If you’re watching from the U.S., here’s the direct link. For viewers in Europe, go here. That’s it—just click and enjoy. You can find the full Ryder Cup schedule below. If you want to test it out now, this is what you should see when live coverage isn’t taking place.
2) Ryder Cup official app
The Ryder Cup offers an official app for iOS and Android. Both are free to download and offer live video and radio, course descriptions, and live scoring. If you’re streaming on the go, this is the perfect solution. Looking at the reviews, some people are having some trouble loading the Android version available in the Play Store, so consider it a last resort. But did we mention it’s free?
Ryder Cup live stream: 5 other ways to watch online
We’re focusing here only on live TV streaming services that offer both NBC and NBC’s Golf Channel, since you’ll need both to watch the 2018 Ryder Cup online (full schedule below). That means we’ve intentionally left out YouTube TV. But don’t worry: You have plenty of great options if you’re ready to cut the cord.
1) Hulu with Live TV
Cost: $40 per month
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick and Fire TV, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and iOS and Android devices
Hulu with Live TV arguably offers the best value on this list. That’s because, in addition to 40 channels of live TV—including NBC Golf, FS1, Big Ten Network, SEC Network Extra, and a full block of ESPN channels—you also get complimentary access to Hulu with Limited Commercials. That means when you can’t find something to stream, there’s a whole library of movies on Hulu, Hulu documentaries, anime, and the must-see Hulu originals available on-demand. You can find the full list of Hulu Live TV channels and add-ons here.

2) Sling TV
Cost: $35-$50 per month
Devices: Amazon Fire TVs, Android Fire Stick, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox One, Google Chromecast, and iOS and Android devices
Sling TV is the cheapest way to watch NBC Golf online, but you won’t get as many channels as what you’ll find on Hulu with Live TV. If you want to save some money, you’ll start with Sling Blue, a $25-per-month channel package that includes CNN, FS1 and FS2, and NFL Network, and then you’ll add the Sling Blue Sports Pack for an extra $10 per month. That add-on includes both NFL RedZone and NBC Golf, as well as Pac 12 Network and NBA TV. But note: Unless you upgrade to Sling Orange + Blue (featured below) for $40 below, you’ll be missing out on all of those ESPN channels. You can find a complete breakdown of Sling TV channels here.
3) FuboTV
Cost: $39.99 for your first month and $44.99 per month thereafter (with a seven-day free trial)
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV, iOS and Android devices
FuboTV may have started as a streaming service for international soccer, but it’s greatly expanded its scope in recent years. While it doesn’t offer ESPN, it has everything else you could be looking for. The basic FuboTV package includes NBC Golf, NFL Network, FX, IFC, NBATV, NBCSN, and even a 4K Fs1 channel. The service also provides three-day replay for games and 30 hours of cloud DVR.
4) PlayStation Vue
Cost: $49.99-$79.99 per month
Devices: PlayStation 3 and 4, Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, Kodi, iOS and Android devices
For a Ryker Cup live stream on PlayStation Vue, you’ll need the Core package or above. Core costs $49.99 per month, and there’s not a lot to justify the cost, but, as with all PlayStation Vue accounts, you get unlimited cloud DVR and the ability to stream on up to five devices at once. It’s also Kodi compatible. You can see the full list of PlayStation Vue channels here.
5) DirecTV Now
Cost: $65-$75 per month
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Amazon Fire Stick
If you want to watch the Ryker Cup on DirecTV Now, you’re going have to Go Big, literally. That’s the name of the 105-plus-channel package that unlocks NBC Golf. It costs $65 per month, but it’s worth noting that AT&T Unlimited customers save $25 a month on DirecTV Now packages, and you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck. I mean, just look at all of those channels! It’s everything you’re likely getting in the packages and then some. If that’s not enough, you can also add HBO for just $5 per month. (Here’s a complete guide to DirecTV Now channels.)
