This must-see short film uses drone lighting—and the result is stunning

If you need some meditative viewing today, Vimeo short The Light might get you centered. 

The short—the second collaboration for director of photography Tim Sessler and director Brandon Bray—centers on a man and a tree, as well as “our connectedness in life and death.” A blog posted Nov. 2 unpacks the technical aspects of the production, which involved drone lighting (and drones stuck in trees) as well as handheld and cable cams. They wanted the visuals to tell the story, explaining it was “really about attempting to make light a character, and using it in a new and innovative way.”
