The Rock’s Jumanji remake is a critically adored hit that’s fun for the whole family, but writer James McMahon apparently hates charismatic adventure thrillers. It’s a fact he probably should have kept close to the vest.
McMahon on Wednesday complained about a plothole to Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson via Twitter. It’s not that he found a movie about a video game that comes to life unrealistic, but rather made a granular grumble about the conceptual structure of the video game depicted in the film.

It’s key to flag that the Rock is notoriously jovial with fans. But everyone has their boiling point, and the Rock wasn’t in the mood to jabber with trolls about his film’s magical realism. “Kindly go f*ck yourself James,” he wrote back.
Actually my friend, in the JUMANJI Lore Handbook, it clearly states in article 72 of section 7, that “any character who loses a life, shall return to their original state with any item they possessed at the time of their demise”. So kindly go f*ck yourself James.

As one can imagine after getting the People’s Elbow by such a powerful icon, the internet did little else but dispense reaction GIFs.

McMahon tried to play it off and be humble, and the Rock was nice afterward. But this reporter maintains that the Rock just grew tired of dumb and nerdy tweets and snapped.
