Stretching the Canvas: Che, Chuck Norris, and church talk

This week on Canvas, original illustrations have been all the rave.

Canvas users have honed their drawing skills using the remix illustrator to create things like a Halloween costume, a scene from a favorite movie, and random colorful images that look like they came out of a Crayola Color Explosion kit.

And after three years incubating on 4chan—like Canvas, a community created by Christopher “Moot” Poole—the knock-knock comic had made its way to Canvas.

Here’s what else went down on Canvas this week.

Monday
	This pumpkin is all the rage. Ghostbusters was no joke. Even though all humans have one, seems like Canvas users have different ideas on what skulls look like. For those of you who have problems with keeping your fly up, never worry again. Forget candy corn. How about some candy cake? The pumpkin abides. If you you’re looking for something to repel females, buy one of these. Canvas users have never had a happier Halloween. There’s something very strange about that womans hair. This place could power the entire continent with the right motivation. Hey, if you can’t make a costume, why not draw one?

Tuesday
What’s wrong with Norway’s weather person? The mystery of using the Canvas remix editor to draw images is solved. Pokemon isn’t for kids. There’s never been a more factual image posted on Canvas. Names can be funny (and ironic). Brad Pitt should have never looked in the box. Presidential face off. Woody is one sick SOB.

Wednesday
	Solid Snake is one weird looking hippie. Respect the Count. Maybe all those Facebook pics of your friend kissing his girlfriend are too good to be true. Canvas user photocopier receives his masterpiece. Garth and Wayne have Benjamin Button syndrome. The story of every college kid’s life. The Canvas meme machine strikes again. No matter what medium or platform it is discussed on, religious talk will always be controversial. Sometime a girl just has to take her top off (SFW) What if the Nyan cat wasn’t actually a cat? Breaking the stereotype, one video game at a time. This pizza looks pissed. George Lucas must be so pissed he didn’t come up with this first. There must be some college offering a class that addresses this enigma. The truth hurts.

Thursday
Che pixelated. The similarities are unsettling. Twilight can find no love on Canvas. Kim Kardashian gets dumped (for real). This takes the phrase “pant suit” to a whole new level. Vladimir Putin has a fan club. Science and religion go together on Canvas like oil and water. Amphibians don’t mess around. A Photoshop faux pas for the ages. Canvas users are stepping up their illustration skills.

Friday
	The mystery of Diglet, a Pokemon, has been solved. Nerves of steel. That must have been one explosive soup. No animals were harmed in the creation of this costume. Ottawa Sun hates trolls. A lot. Find a funny YouTube comment is like watching a Leprechaun skydive. Big dog meets little kitty. Put that baby to good use.
