Netflix has announced its Netflix & Chills fall horror lineup, with five original titles including an adaptation of Stephen King’s In the Tall Grass.
The streaming giant will adapt In the Tall Grass from a 2012 novella by King and his son Joe Hill. The film—which tells the story of siblings pulled off the road when they hear a crying boy lost in a field, only to get lost themselves—is set to debut Oct. 4, and is one of the more anticipated titles in the lineup. Vincenzo Natali, who also helmed sci-fi thrillers Cube and Splice, directs the movie.
Netflix & Chills kicks off with In the Shadow of the Moon, a thriller about a female serial killer who strikes every nine years, on Sept. 27. Fractured, a thriller starring Sam Worthington as a father whose wife a daughter suddenly disappear, is set to debut on Oct. 11. Eli, starring Stranger Things‘ Sadie Sink, debuts Oct. 18 and tells the story of an ill boy and the doctor who claims he can save him. Rattlesnake, starring Carmen Ejogo as a mother who must save her daughter after a snake bite, debuts Oct. 25. Definitely noticing a kids-and-horror theme here.
