Donald Trump raised many eyebrows over the weekend after he claimed, without evidence, that Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 election. His latest Twitter tirade, however, is inspiring plenty of colorful storytelling from Stephen King.
King, who has made it known quite clearly that he isn’t a fan of Trump, spun a tale of the extent of the president’s apparent paranoia. Crossing multiple genres, it starts as a wacky comedy but quickly gets dark.
Not only did Obama tap Trump’s phones, he stole the strawberry ice cream out of the mess locker.

Obama tapped Trump’s phones IN PERSON! Went in wearing a Con Ed coverall. Michelle stood guard while O spliced the lines. SAD!

Trump should know OBAMA NEVER LEFT THE WHITE HOUSE! He’s in the closet! HE HAS SCISSORS!

While it’s much shorter than even King’s shortest stories, it already has the makings of a new horror tale. There’s set up, suspense, and the eventual twist that might make anyone wary of opening a closet door. And some have even tried to help him along with other suggestions.
THE WIRE TAPPING IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE

It’s not the first Trump horror story King has told. Back in October, he posted a Twitter-friendly, real-life horror story that some found much scarier than the anything King regularly cooks up in his books.
My newest horror story: Once upon a time there was a man named Donald Trump, and he ran for president. Some people wanted him to win.
