Lovers of the English monarchy received an early Christmas gift on Monday—the Royal Family’s official Christmas card photo.
The family strayed away from a traditional Christmas-themed card and opted to go with matching blue outfits. The photo was taken by Chris Jackson earlier this year at the Kensington Palace, according to a post on Instagram.
The clue is in the outfit! The Cambridge’s Christmas card picture was taken at the same time as Prince George’s fourth birthday picture. Both by @ChrisJack_Getty pic.twitter.com/vwHfOp6SRV

Prince George stole the show, however, with his navy blue shorts.

Does George not get cold in those shorts all the bloody time? https://t.co/CxfSYEYBLA

Prince George could well be the hero the Formal Shorts movement needs to rally men to its cause.

The Royal Family also took the opportunity to announce that Princess Charlotte will attend the Willcocks Nursery School in London from January 2018.
Tatler describes Prince Charlotte’s new nursery, Willcocks, as a hidden gem with a mixture of ‘old English families and chic foreigners’. It is situated right by the Royal Albert Hall, a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace.
