It’s just not the same without Brian, though.

Postmodern Jukebox strikes again! And this time, they’re making an animated hit even more animated.

PMJ, that soulful ensemble led by Scott Bradlee and known for its vintage remakes of popular tunes, can swell to half a dozen or more members on stage, but for this cover of the Family Guy theme song, it only needed four.

Casey Abrams takes center stage playing upright bass and singing Seth MacFarlane’s lead vocals (a talented musician in his own right, with some tunes finding their way onto Sinatra-centric satellite radio stations). He’s joined by Nora Germain on violin halfway through, but it’s pianist Bradlee and tap dancer Sarah Reich who battle it out for best in show, with his fingers and her feet flying so fast it’s hard for YouTube to keep up.

Postmodern Jukebox’s fall North American tour kicked off late last week in Providence, Rhode Island.
