Hollywood stars adorned their outfits with Time’s Up pins at this year’s Golden Globes to show their support for sexual assault survivors. At Sunday’s Oscars, they’ll reportedly add another pin to their outfits to advocate for gun control.
A source told People that some guests plan to wear orange-hued American flag pins from Everytown, an organization dedicated to gun safety in the U.S.. The decision comes three weeks after the horrific school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead and 14 more hospitalized.
It’s unclear how many Oscars attendees plan to wear the Everytown pins, or whether this initiative will catch fire in the same way that Time’s Up did at the Golden Globes. It’s Hollywood’s latest display of solidarity toward Parkland students; previously, George and Amal Clooney donated $500,000 to survivors. At the very least, the orange pins should serve as momentum for the students’ March for Our Lives in Washington D.C. on March 24.
If you feel so inclined, you can buy your own orange pin on Everytown’s website.
