The big names keep coming: Louis C.K. is the latest comedian to get a Netflix standup special.
Two, actually. The first will be released on April 4, and is titled 2017. No word on whether it will feature political commentary, but it was filmed in D.C.
Netflix‘s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a press release:
Louis has been one of the most innovative comedy voices in this new era of stand up. He has also been a thought leader in the business of comedy. We have marveled at his creativity and his ability to invent comedically and commercially, and are thrilled that he is bringing his newest specials to Netflix.
Netflix has announced upcoming specials from Amy Schumer (March 7), Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, and Sarah Silverman.
