Kim Kardashian-West has inadvertently reignited her long-simmering feud with Taylor Swift.
The reality TV icon on Monday posted a photo of herself at husband Kanye West‘s Famous art exhibit, which was displayed in Los Angeles’ Blum & Poe gallery last year. It features the naked wax sculptures used by West in his “Famous” music video, which was a send-up of celebrity culture that included the likes of President Donald Trump and, yes, Swift in the nude.
As Kardashian-West ostensibly shared a picture of herself snapping a pic of a naked Swift, the Reputation singer’s loyal fans took the move as shade. They began littering the Instagram post’s comments with rat emoji. Remember: Swift embraced the snake emoji in the buildup to her new record after being indirectly called one by Kardashian-West. And naturally: snakes eat rats.
As of press time, Kardashian’s 15-hour-old photo has 54,000 comments.

The bitter feud shows no signs of slowing down. It dates back to 2009’s VMAs scandal and returned in 2016 after a lyric from West joked about having sex with Swift, infamously boasting that he “made that bitch famous.” Swift was publicly incensed, but Kardashian-West refuted her outrage by offering up audio of Swift pre-approving the lewd lyric on the phone.
Swift’s defense was that while, yes, she was fine with the gag about hooking up with West, she did not expect to be called the B-word.
Kardashian-West was forced to block the snake emoji from her profile last time, and now she may consider a ban on rat emoji as well.
