Kelly Osbourne proved stars really are just like us this weekend by getting embarrassed and then blaming it on a brand online.
The whole saga seems to have begun when the TV host and reality star dipped into a Manhattan Starbucks to use the bathroom Sunday evening. She’d tweeted about marching in the New York Pride parade earlier that day, and apparently her bladder was full. When she got to the counter, though, the staff at the 6th Avenue and W. 27th Street location in Chelsea told her they couldn’t help. Osbourne was at a rare crossroads: Would she—a celebrity—be able to not pee her pants in public?
It turns out the answer was no.
“SHAME on U @Starbucks,” she wrote beneath a photo of the coffee shop in question. “#Pissedmyownpants in this location because UR shameful employees refused to let me use the [toilet].”

The tweet understandably got a lot of engagement. So much so that Starbucks spoke to Vulture Monday and revealed a pretty illuminating twist: Like many New York City Starbucks, that particular location has no bathroom for anyone. As a courtesy, employees usually direct customers to another store down the street for relief.
“There simply is no restroom in this store,” a representative said. “We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and hope to welcome Ms. Osbourne back for a beverage on us very soon!”
Embarrassing? For sure. Inconvenient? Definitely.
But hey, at least she’s getting a free coffee out of it.
