Keke Palmer has accidentally created one of the best memes of the year.
The Hustlers star and new Good Morning America co-host recently sat down to take a lie detector test with Vanity Fair.
During the interview, she was shown a picture of former Vice President Dick Cheney. Palmer looked stunned. She did not recognize Cheney.
Instead, she said a few words that have now gone down in internet history. “I don’t know who this man is,” she said, “he could be walking down the street; I wouldn’t know a thing. Sorry to this man.”

Eventually, Palmer discovered who the man was. She sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, and she revealed that she was told who he was, and after finding out everything he did while vice president, she was glad she had no idea who he was.
Keke Palmer’s reaction to the popularity of her SORRY TO THIS MAN meme is equally great: “After finding out who he is, I’m glad I didn’t know.” pic.twitter.com/ZAoRysQoZK

“I was just thrown because I truly was sorry to that man,” she said. “I just felt bad [that] I didn’t know who he was because I knew it was going to be somebody that maybe everyone knew … I’m actually fine, after finding out who he is, I’m glad I didn’t know.”
