Just like his wife Chrissy Teigen, John Legend‘s not shy on Twitter.
The ten-time Grammy winner didn’t mince words Tuesday morning with a series of tweets in support of NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick—the San Francisco 49er who’s in hot water after choosing to remain seated during the national anthem.
After a postgame interview last week in which Kaepernick stated he’s “not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” sparked plenty of social media outrage, Legend spoke up to support the athlete’s act of protest.

Beyond that, he had a suggestion for a song he felt might be a more fitting option:

And acknowledged that, even though he’s not a politician, awareness-raising is something he can contribute to as a celebrity:

Honestly, voting Legend/Teigen in 2020 doesn’t sound too bad.
