Sir Ian McKellen and Dame Maggie Smith visited Wimbledon on Wednesday to enjoy a rousing match of tennis.

The award-winning actors are known for the variety of roles that they have played, as well as for their striking personalities off-screen. People were charmed to see the duo, known to many as powerful magic wielders Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter and Gandalf Greyhame from Lord of the Rings, out together.

The actors have only performed together a few times, but their friendship has been charming fans for years. This delightful interview on the Graham Norton Show showcases their unique relationship, and seeing the two of them so engrossed in the game together was just the mid-week pick me up people needed.
