The Jose Mourinho era of good feelings rolls on Saturday, following Spurs’ epic 4-2 win against Olympiakos after being 2-0 down in the Champions League on Tuesday. But Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is focused solely on the Premier League, and the Cherries are at no disadvantage, being just one point behind Tottenham.

Spurs vs. Bournemouth: Preview, last 5 results, upcoming fixtures

Tottenham (recent form: WWDWD) has seen club morale skyrocket under its new manager, nearing the May we-just-beat-Ajax levels. Its last match started to look like a disaster. But after Mourinho subbed off Eric Dier after 29 minutes down 2-0, Spurs pulled off the comebac,  winning 4-2. A win this weekend is vital with the trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday looming large.

Bournemouth (recent form: LLWDD) has established itself as a mid-table to upper-half side in the Premier League under Eddie Howe, so the 16 points from 13 games are to be expected. A matchup against Mourinho will be intriguing, as the master of the dark arts hosts the young English manager with all the attacking ideas.

Upcoming fixtures

Spurs: Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Manchester United (Premier League); Saturday, Nov. 7 vs. Burnley (Premier League)

Bournemouth: Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Crystal Palace (Premier League); Saturday, Nov. 7 vs. Liverpool (Premier League)
