Beginning its second season and set this year in Nashville, the show focuses on four straight women and their gay male best friends.

The show is already available for streaming in-full from the link above. This is believed to be the first Twitvid exclusive television premiere from a major network. After today, the episode will be available on Facebook, Hulu, and PerezHilton.com.

“Last year we engaged a highly passionate community on social media platforms around this show,” said Sundance Channel Executive Vice President Sarah Barnett in a press release. “To that end we’re creating some great next generation opportunities this year, led by a ground-breaking, first-ever premiere on Twitter.”

Video size and quality on Twitvid isn’t substantially different from more commonly used video services, such as Vimeo or YouTube. The clip runs for an entire 25-minute episode.

Within eight hours of the premiere, just under 70 Twitter users had posted the link. Early reaction to the show seemed to be positive on the site.

“So far I like Tenisha and Jared! :) (obsessed already)” tweeted hijofrizbe.

Perhaps more important than the premiere is the overall implication. Twitter has become not only an invaluable tool for shows to build social buzz but an essential platform for creating an enhanced, interactive viewing experience.
