Fast becoming a favorite for travelers, a report this month shows that Netflix is watched more in hotel rooms than ESPN.

Enseo, a company that provides in-room entertainment to hotels, released a graphic (tracked Oct. 1 through Dec. 31) showing that hotel TV viewers watched Netflix slightly over 8 percent of the time. The streaming behemoth trailed only NBC, which Cord Cutters News reports is the default channel for numerous hotel TVs.

Though Netflix surpassed ESPN, the self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports is trending upward thanks to its multitude of social media-friendly programming. In the data, ESPN beat cable news (Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC) and large networks (Fox, CBS, and ABC). The Bristol, Connecticut-based network has recently gained another boost by way of out-of-home metrics like bars and gyms, per a report in AdAge.

YouTube likewise placed at roughly 2 percent, landing two web-based streaming options in the top 10.
