The 2017 Emmy nominations were announced on Thursday and while there were some familiar names, a few new fan-favorites got nods as well.
Elisabeth Moss picked up a Best Lead Actress nomination for The Handmaid’s Tale, which gives Hulu its first Emmy nomination in the drama category, though a lot of people seem to think the series is a documentary. Samira Wiley, Ann Dowd, and Alex Bledel also picked up noms for their roles on the series.
HBO’s Big Little Lies and Westworld made their first appearance, but Twitter was pretty upset about apparent Leftovers and Insecure snubs. The late Carrie Fisher received a nomination for her role on Amazon‘s Catastrophe. Netflix hit The Crown picked up a couple cold ones and Stranger Things clocked 18 nominations. One category might answer the internet’s year-old question: Will there be justice for Barb?
