Eminem on Sunday night criticized the National Rifle Association during a performance at the iHeartRadio awards. The rapper has been a career contrarian when it comes to Republican values and he’s been an angry voice in the age of President Donald Trump.
“This whole country is going nuts/And the NRA is in our way/They’re responsible for this whole production/They hold the strings, they control the puppet,” he rapped onstage, adding the lyrics to new song “Nowhere Fast.”
To drive home the message and leave no bones about where he’s coming from, Eminem was introduced by Parkland shooting survivor Alex Moscou.

The rapper’s ninth and latest album Revival landed in December and features numerous screeds against the current administration. He was joined onstage by R&B singer Kehlani.
