Since her days at Saturday Night Live from 2001 to 2008, Amy Poehler has been one the biggest mainstream powerhouses in comedy, so it’s easy to forget that she’s actually—you know—super funny. But every once in a while she makes a joke that reminds the world why we fell in love with her in the first place.
Thursday, the Hollywood Reporter rolled out its first-ever list of the Most Powerful People in Comedy, and asked each of the honorees to fill out a little questionnaire with prompts like “Sitcom you’d reboot?” and “Guilty pleasure.” Poehler decided to seize the opportunity to remind us all that there are slightly bigger issues in the world in 2018 than showbusiness (like the oceans, and Puerto Rico’s ongoing hurricane recovery crisis, and school shootings).
