A couple things make the Golden Globes different than the Oscars. First, the audience is allowed to drink, which always makes the speeches a little livelier. Second, they nominate outstanding work in movies and TV—which means that a number of streaming projects were named among the 2018 nominees Monday morning.
Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix all got nods in various categories, including major ones like “best series” and “best actor.”
