A Russian/ air guitarist who goes by the name Your Daddy just put the entire music industry to shame with some epic shredding.
Kereel Blumenkrants, aka “Your Daddy,” took top prize at Friday’s Air Guitar World Championship in Finland. But he didn’t just shred to his heart’s content—he dressed for the bizarre part. He took the stage dressed as a spaceman from the future, complete with a giant V-shaped collar, and ripped into Metallica’s 1983 classic “The Four Horsemen.”
Your Daddy’s moves are so fluid and wild, yet in sync with the tunes, that you can hardly tell he wasn’t playing a real guitar. Just imagine that it’s a really flexible guitar with a constantly shifting neck. Oh, and it’s invisible.
The Russian man beat three-time Air Guitar champion Matt “Aristotle” Burns of Staten Island, New York, after a tie-breaking performance. Michael “Operation Rock a Pussy” Lovely came in third.
Who said you had to learn an instrument to be a rockstar? Your Daddy has figured out that the key to stardom is a flashy spacesuit and some raucous moves.
