Everyone is sick of reboots, but for once, here’s one we can all get excited about. Get Out director Jordan Peele is executive producing and hosting a new version of The Twilight Zone, streaming on CBS All Access this year.
CBS announced this week that the new Twilight Zone will begin on April 1. Two episodes will air then, followed by weekly episodes each Thursday. If you want to check out the original Twilight Zone, every episode is already on CBS All Access.
Riffing on the original 1960s series, there’s already a teaser for Jordan Peele’s take on the iconic introductory voiceover.
Like the original show, this will be an anthology series of sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal stories, each introduced by the show’s host. There isn’t a full trailer yet, but they’ve announced a star-studded cast including John Cho, Steven Yuen, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jessica Williams.
This isn’t Jordan Peele’s only upcoming TV project. He also produced a sci-fi/comedy anthology series called Weird City, beginning on YouTube Premium next month.
