Tumbleweed was always somewhat ominous—rolling in the background of old Western movies—but after witnessing masses of them swarming with the help of powerful winds, I’m now just downright terrified of them.
YouTube user Tom Forwood Jr. captured a storm of the dead shrubbery being catapulted by gusts blowing up to 70mph in Bozeman, Montana. Getting pummeled by one of these thorn-nuggets does not sound like any fun at all—I just imagine being horribly scratched up and extremely itchy.
Totally looks like something out of a M. Night Shyamalan movie.
