Ubisoft on Tuesday released Tom Clancy’s The Division: Agent Origins, a live-action short film that traces the activation of four Division agents in New York City, on Amazon Prime. The series was developed in cooperation with a trio of YouTube creators known for their live-action work.

In the world of The Division, a virus has broken out in New York and is spreading across the country. The Division is a black ops unit whose members live normal, civilian lives until a calamity destroys the government’s ability to deal with crises. In that case, Division agents are activated and given unfettered latitude to operate openly.

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you can watch a 31-minute supercut of all four parts of the web series, that includes exclusive footage for Amazon viewers. The four parts of the series are also available on YouTube.

In Escape, a roving gang of prison escapees slaughter soldiers and police officers in an attempt to seize emergency supplies being handed out to panicking civilians. Four Division agents step in to restore order the hard way.

In Ashes, produced by YouTube channel CorridorDigital, one of the four Division agents has to deal with a pack of gunmen who’ve decided the only way to control the virus is to kill anyone they suspect might be infected. They’ve brought a flamethrower, but this Division agent is a member of the FDNY.

In Pursuit, produced by YouTube channel devinsupertramp, a Division agent tries to stop the theft of valuable medical supplies and has to decide whether he needs them more than the thieves.

In Conspiracies, produced by YouTube channel RocketJump, a paranoiac rant about government sleeper agents turns out to be true when a looter breaks into the apartment a listener’s apartment and he has to snap into action.

The Ubisoft blog has provided a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the Agent Origins series. CorridorDigital wrote the three shorts produced by the YouTube channels, and then divided the scripts between them, after which each short was edited to mesh with that particular channel’s style of content.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 8.
