Hopefully, we can all agree that the surreal mini-sitcom about Thor and his roommate Darryl is one of the best spinoffs in the MCU. Conceived by Taika Waititi (who else?) it places Thor in Australia during a gap between movies, living with a long-suffering roommate named Darryl.
Post-Infinity War, we finally have another update from Darryl. This doesn’t seem to be an official scene directed by Waititi, but rather a video from actor Daley Pearson wishing Thor (i.e., Chris Hemsworth) a happy birthday. He confirms that Darryl survived Thanos’ finger-snap and that he’s having debt issues because Thor is behind on the rent.

Poor Darryl. Given the sudden disappearance of half the earth’s population, he’s going to have trouble finding someone else to cover the rent.
Of course, this also raises some questions about Jeff Goldblum‘s character Grandmaster, who moved in with Darryl after Thor: Ragnarok. How’s he doing, anyway? As with most questions about the current state of the MCU, we’ll probably have to wait until after Avengers 4 to find out.
