‘The Flash’ season 2 trailer takes the DC Comics show into a whole new world

There are more comics references than you can shake a stick at.

The first season of The Flash ended with an epic cliffhanger: a black hole over Barry Allen’s city. The first extended trailer for season 2 introduces problems that make a black hole look like a piece of cake by comparison.

The DC Comics homages abound in the second season of The CW’s highly acclaimed series, as Barry meets an alternate Flash, a police detective named Patty Spivot, and a dangerous new foe on a mission to kill the scarlet speedster.
