It’s time to engrave another event onto the timeline of doomed Crow reboot attempts.

The latest attempt to reboot The Crow has reportedly stalled after the production company, Relativity, filed for bankruptcy last week.

Numerous filmmakers have tried to reboot The Crow since the first movie came out in 1994, with well-known actors like Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, and Tom Hiddleston being rumored to play the gothic antihero. Relativity was set to start filming a new interpretation of the classic Crow comics this year, but leading man Jack Huston pulled out in June due to scheduling clashes.

At the time, director Corin Hardy said that he was looking forward to revealing Huston’s replacement “over the next few weeks,” but pre-production has since been halted due to Relativity’s financial problems.

Many key members of the production team have now left the movie, although The Hollywood Reporter says that Relativity is still planning to begin production this year. Who will replace Huston in the lead role, though, is anyone’s guess.
