To promote the release of Super Mario Odyssey, Kellog’s and Nintendo teamed up to release the mixed-berry-flavored cereal with “power-up marshmallows,” and each box of crunchy deliciousness can be used to unlock special content in the game. Neither Kellog’s or Nintendo have released official statements or details about when or where the special-edition cereal will be released, but some lucky hunters have already spotted it on store shelves.
A Reddit poster revealed a photo that captures the back of the box, where the full details about the Amiibo function are printed:
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has invaded grocery stores. Back in the 1980s, the gaming giant partnered with Ralston Cereal to release cereal inspired by Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.
