It finally happened.
At exactly 12pm PT on Thursday, season 3 of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix. Fans have been waiting more than a year for the highly anticipated season, and many chose to celebrate season 3’s release by immediately bingeing all eight heart-pounding episodes. The cast is celebrating the season’s release as well, through heartwarming social media posts.
It all started with a post from the official Stranger Things Twitter page, announcing that the new season was streaming. The comments for the post were flooded with delighted messages from fans, gushing about the newest creepy happenings in Hawkins.

While Netflix was amping up excitement for the season, the cast was busy celebrating in their own ways. Millie Bobby Brown expressed her enthusiasm in a charming Instagram post. “Oh hi,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself, decked out in Eleven garb and eating a suspiciously non-eggo looking meal. “Stranger Things 3 is out… u should most definitely go watch it like rn… bye for 8 hours.”

She wasn’t the only one celebrating. Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, took to Twitter to share a video of himself goofing around with fellow cast members. “I’ve been waiting a year to post this video,” he said below in the video of himself with Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Joe Keery (Steve).

Perhaps the most heartwarming post came from the actor who portrays Chief Jim Hopper, David Harbour. “Cinema has its own language. Furry dragons, quests to overcome the nothing, magical books. Certain films get so scratched into our souls,” he wrote. “Episode 8 of #strangerthings3 is my newest. The sounds, the colors, the heroism, the pathos, the humanity, the love. May it be so for you. It soars with laughter and tears. You’ll feel like a kid again (or a kid, STILL.) Happy season 3, everyone. Now streaming on @netflix .”

If that doesn’t make you want to watch season 3, nothing will.
