Now you too can smell like the dearly departed queen of Naboo with a line of Star Wars-inspired cologne that is nothing if not very strange.
The new fragrance offerings come in three different scents—Jedi, Sith, and Amidala—and only seem to be available in Germany at this point, but they are something every Star Wars fan needs to get their hands on. After all, a perfume based on Queen Amidala may be the single greatest gift the Star Wars prequels will ever offer you.
The big question is why Jedi and Sith are limited to men, according to the bottles they come in, while women get Amidala? After all, this is 2016 and in the Star Wars world, there are female Jedis and Sith. Why not just come up with female takes on those signature fragrances, rather than relying on Natalie Portman’s character from the prequels to hang a scent on?
Not that there’s anything wrong with smelling like Natalie Portman, which according to Geekologie means “royal elegance” and “strong, indomitable will” in “elegant and sensual” vanilla, musk, and patchouli with notes of apple and tangerine.
We’re sure she smells great, if not overly complicated with too many ingredients. However, in a world where Rey (Daisy Ridley) seems to be the most Force-strong character in the Star Wars universe at this point, make a Jedi scent she can wear.
