All of your favorite Sega games are coming to mobile, and they won’t cost you a dime.

Sega’s new collection, Sega Forever, will compile all of its nostalgia-inducing classics into a collection that already includes five addictive games: Sonic The Hedgehog, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon, and Altered Beast.

Each title will be available for both Andriod and iOS users, and the collection won’t stop with these five favorites. Every two weeks they plan to add new titles, so in no time you’ll be drowning in fond memories of afternoons spent draped lazily on your couch listening to the upbeat, if somewhat repetitive, game music. The addition of leaderboard rankings to the mobile platform adds a level of competition that is sure to spark some healthy rivalries, and for those people whose mobile gaming skills are not as well-oiled as their console skills, don’t worry: The collection will feature controller support.

Now the most important part—the collection will be free-to-play using ads as a way to drive revenue. You can get rid of those ads if you are willing to pay a one-time $1.99. Considering the cost of these titles elsewhere (GameStop is charging $15 for Sonic) this collection is well worth the small charge if you even choose to pay it.

Classic games are often the ones nearest and dearest to gamers hearts, with their achingly familiar themes that defined the time we spent obsessing over them through our childhoods. With many of the consoles they originated on fading fast (or long gone in some cases), it can be hard to return to these beloved old games.

Sega’s new collection will allow us to enjoy them in a far more accessible and convenient way, which may be the perfect plan to revitalize some of these games.
