If you’re into watching people celebrate their good fortune only to have all of it be a dream that most definitely did not come true, the clip below is the video for you.

It features workers from the Grissini restaurant in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey when they discovered they won hundreds of millions of dollars in the Powerball lottery drawing. Happy days were here again for the 42 workers who pooled their money for tickets… until they discovered the truth.

The lottery ticket was for the incorrect drawing. They had the right lottery numbers but on the wrong day. Meaning they didn’t win the jackpot after all.

Still, if you’re so inclined, watch the video to see the happiness and joy and relish in the fact that they don’t know that they actually haven’t won.

“It was a feeling of excitement, glory, the adrenaline—it was just an amazing feeling,” server Jimmy Torba told CBS New York. “Maybe we can buy, open a business. We can donate some money, change our lives, be happy.”

Perhaps the only person not totally brokenhearted about the outcome was the restaurant’s owner, Anthony DelGatto. The result probably saved him plenty of hassle and paperwork.

“I’m sure I would have lost all the employees,” DelGatto said. “The dishwashers were very happy—they didn’t have to wash dishes anymore. Our valet parker told a guy to go get his own car.”

All of it is awful unfortunately. Yet, somewhere in time, Shirley Jackson has just come up with an idea for a new short story.
